Expertise:
I focus on making yoga accessible, grounded in thoughtful alignment, and creating a space where students feel at ease. I love helping newer students build confidence through clear options and props, while reminding people that yoga doesn’t have to look a certain way to be meaningful. I’m drawn to both power and gentle practices and am continuing to deepen my studies in yin, with an interest in mindfulness and the deeper layers of yoga.
Experience:
I’ve been practicing yoga for about four years, and my path into teaching grew naturally from my own transformation. What started as a recommendation in therapy became a steady practice that helped me reconnect with myself, move through difficult emotions, and find a sense of belonging. As a teacher, I’ve found a love for guiding others through movement and reflection, especially supporting beginners and continuing to grow in my own practice.
Why Yoga?
Yoga came into my life when I was searching for grounding, healing, and something that felt like my own. It gave me a way to process emotions, reconnect with myself, and learn how to let go. What keeps me coming back is the reminder that yoga is for everyone. You don’t have to be flexible or experienced to belong. For me, yoga is a way to come home to yourself, both on and off the mat.
What inspires you about the HOY community?
What inspires me most about the House of Yoga community is the genuine sense of acceptance and care. It’s a space where you can show up exactly as you are and feel supported without pressure. I love how people check in on one another and create a sense of belonging that makes it easy to keep coming back, even on hard days. This community helped me find my people, and that continues to inspire me.
Why do you Teach?
I teach because I want people to feel what yoga gave me: healing, empowerment, and a sense of being at home in themselves. I love creating classes that feel personal, welcoming, and real. Through movement, reflection, and a little humor, I aim to support each person in their own process and remind them that yoga is accessible and there’s space for every body and every experience.
What fires me up off the mat?
Off the mat, I’m energized by growth, creativity, and the act of bringing ideas to life. I love organizing people, building momentum, and creating positive change in my work. At home, cooking is my creative outlet, a place where I can trust my instincts and nourish the people I love. I’m always learning, reading, and finding new ways to grow both in my teaching and in my life.
