Expertise:

I offer welcoming, grounding yoga with an emphasis on mindful movement, deep stretching, mobility, and connection. My classes are especially supportive for beginners and anyone craving a gentler practice, a little breathing room, and the chance to feel more at home in their body. I want every student to know that they belong, exactly as they are.

Experience:

I first discovered yoga around age 15 through my childhood best friend, and I have continued to return to the practice throughout every season of my life. Along the way, I have learned from teachers who helped me appreciate both the anatomy of yoga and its deeper, more holistic side. I began teaching in January 2026 and approach every class with curiosity, heart, and a genuine love of learning alongside my students.

Why Yoga?

Yoga brings me back to myself. When life feels busy and my attention is being pulled in a million directions, it gives me a place to breathe, quiet the noise, and find my center again. Yoga has changed how I think, how I see the world, and how I move through it. It gives me sanity, community, mobility, and peace. Plus, I would really like to keep touching my toes well into old age!

What inspires you about the HOY community?

I love the warmth, authenticity, and beautiful variety within the House of Yoga community. Every teacher and student brings something different into the room, and there is space for all of it. Some days we need something playful and uplifting, while other days we need stillness, reflection, and a place to simply exhale. House of Yoga reminds me that yoga is about so much more than making shapes. It is about connection, growth, and showing up for ourselves and one another.

Why do you teach?

Teaching yoga is something I wanted to do for nearly twenty years. Life took me in another direction for a while, but that little calling never completely went away. Becoming a teacher later in life feels like keeping a promise I made to myself a long time ago.

I teach because there is so much joy in watching someone’s energy shift and knowing they are leaving class feeling a little lighter, calmer, or more connected than when they arrived. More than anything, I want people to know that yoga is for them. You do not have to be flexible or fold yourself in half. You only have to begin where you are. I will meet you there.

What fires me up off the mat?

Variety is the spice of my life! I love watching birds, especially when my purple martins return, embroidering, quilting, learning new things, and collecting new experiences. Give me a day with a little creativity, a little productivity, a little self-care, and plenty of time with the people I love, and I am happy.
