The practice of yoga truly connects my spirit, mind and body. I enjoy the physicality of the practice and the opportunity to become introspective. I practice yoga daily and it is an important part of my lifestyle.
What inspires you about the HOY community?
House of Yoga is far more than a yoga studio; it is a home. When I walk in the door, I always pause and take a deep grateful breath for the opportunity to be a member of this family.
Why do you teach?
I want to inspire others to live well and by leading yoga practices, I believe that I can help class participants along that path. It is my hope that when every person leaves my class, he or she feels balanced, empowered, refreshed, loved and at peace.
What fires you up off the mat?
My incredible family inspires me on a daily basis: my husband, my 4 adult children and my son-in-law.
I am passionate about community health initiatives and am very committed to working collaboratively with others to improve the health and wellbeing of those who live, work, play and learn in the City of York.
I am an avid hiker, section hiking the Appalachian Trail and hitting the big mountains of the west whenever I have the opportunity.
